Colombian President Gustavo Petro Highlights Global Awakening Against Gaza Genocide in Meeting with US President Donald Trump

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Colombian President Gustavo Petro revealed a growing global awareness of the Gaza genocide following his meeting with US President Donald Trump in Washington. The discussions, which Petro described as positive, also covered energy cooperation and reducing tariff pressures.
Petro emphasized the untapped energy potential of South American countries, which could contribute to clean energy development in the US. He also addressed challenges at Colombia’s borders in combating drug trafficking, stressing the need for regional collaboration.
The Colombian leader further disclosed his request for Trump’s assistance in apprehending major drug traffickers residing abroad. Additionally, Petro noted widespread protests across the US, Colombia, and Europe condemning the Gaza genocide.
