The Sudan Doctors Network confirmed that the attack, which struck residential neighborhoods and a medical center, resulted in the deaths of 15 people, including seven children.
Medical sources warned that the death toll could rise as some of the wounded are in critical condition. The assault also caused extensive damage to homes and urban infrastructure.
The incident occurred hours after Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, head of Sudan’s Sovereign Council, announced the breaking of the siege on Kadugli.
