Israel Recognizes Breakaway Region of Somaliland Amid Global Controversy

Israel has officially recognized the breakaway region of Somaliland, a move met with widespread international criticism, as reports indicate Tel Aviv aims to access the area’s rich natural resources.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israel has recently announced its recognition of Somaliland, a breakaway region not acknowledged by any other country. This decision comes as reports suggest Tel Aviv seeks to exploit the region’s valuable natural resources, including oil, gas, maritime resources, agriculture, and energy. Somaliland is also home to extensive lithium deposits, which have drawn significant interest from Israel.

Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi, the leader of Somaliland’s separatists, confirmed the signing of a trade cooperation agreement with Israel. Additionally, sources indicate that Israel plans to establish a military base in the region, a move that has sparked widespread condemnation globally.
