According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian defense officials confirmed continued military advances in eastern Ukraine, with the liberation of Starokrainka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast and Stepankova in Donetsk. The Russian Ministry of Defense simultaneously reported strikes on fuel and energy facilities supporting Ukrainian armed forces.
The territorial gains occur amid ongoing battlefield clashes as Ukrainian, Russian, and American negotiators convene for closed-door talks in Abu Dhabi. Diplomatic sources indicate Ukraine’s withdrawal from the Donbas region remains the most contentious issue in the negotiations.
