Turkish President Warns Against US Adventurism Toward Iran, Offers Mediation

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has warned against US adventurism toward Iran and offered Ankara’s mediation to de-escalate tensions. In an interview with the Saudi newspaper Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, Erdogan stressed that disputes must be resolved diplomatically and called for a reduction in hostilities.
Erdogan reiterated Turkey‘s consistent opposition to any military intervention in Iran, urging all parties to avoid actions that could exacerbate the crisis. He advocated for the establishment of regional security mechanisms to prevent conflicts before they arise.
The Turkish president emphasized that the region does not need new divisions but a foundation for cooperation built on collective wisdom and shared responsibility. ‘Our goal is not conflict management but strengthening the diplomatic infrastructure to prevent conflicts from emerging,’ Erdogan stated.
Iran and the US are expected to begin a new round of negotiations on Friday. Tehran has expressed readiness for talks but affirmed it will not compromise on the rights of the Iranian people.
