Russia Labels Western Troop Deployment in Ukraine as Security Threat

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated during a press briefing that Moscow views the deployment of Western volunteer coalition forces in Ukraine post-peace agreement as a direct security concern. Zakharova emphasized that Russia has repeatedly warned against Western military presence in Ukraine, labeling it an unacceptable threat under any circumstances. She further asserted that such forces would be considered legitimate military objectives for Russia. These remarks come as Ukrainian, Russian, and U.S. negotiators resume talks in Abu Dhabi, with Ukraine’s withdrawal from the Donbas region emerging as a key challenge in the discussions.
