French Foreign Minister Backs Agreement Between Jolani Regime and Kurdish Militants

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot has publicly endorsed the agreement between the Abu Muhammad Jolani-led regime and Kurdish militants in Syria. Barrot asserted that the deal could help secure the rights of Kurds and Syrians while strengthening counter-terrorism operations against ISIS.

Barrot, who arrived in Damascus on Thursday, met with Asaad al-Shibani, the foreign minister of the Jolani regime, and reaffirmed France‘s comprehensive support for Damascus. The visit comes amid escalating tensions in northeastern Syria between the Jolani regime and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
