Iran’s IRGC Political Deputy Warns West: Deterrence Capability Is Non-Negotiable

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Brigadier General Yadollah Javani, Political Deputy of Iran‘s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Command, told Al-Mayadeen network that the recent unveiling of the Khorramshahr-4 missile demonstrates Iran’s unwavering commitment to maintain its defensive capabilities. He stressed this serves as a clear message to the U.S. and Western nations.
Javani emphasized that coming to the negotiation table doesn’t signify retreat from military power, clarifying that upcoming talks will be strictly limited to nuclear issues. He characterized Western media narratives as psychological warfare tactics to pressure Iran.
The IRGC official added that while Iran isn’t seeking conflict, it won’t retreat from its fundamental positions. He warned that any miscalculation by adversaries would meet with decisive retaliation.
Javani confirmed Iran’s negotiation team would enter talks relying on national capabilities, with no plans to weaken defensive power.
