Senior ISIS Leader Apprehended Near Syrian Border in Iraq

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a security source in Iraq’s Anbar province announced that Hashd al-Sha’abi security forces identified and apprehended a high-ranking member of the ISIS terrorist organization in the Al-Qaim region, situated close to the border with Syria in western Anbar province. The source indicated that the security forces successfully captured the ISIS operative in a surprise operation. This individual is considered one of the most prominent members of the group and belongs to its initial generation. The source further stated that this person participated in terrorist attacks against Iraqi security forces during the operations to liberate Anbar province. Notably, Iraqi F-16 fighter jets eliminated another senior ISIS leader in the country just yesterday.
