Iraq Seeks Regional Stability Through Political Solutions, Enhanced Cooperation

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iraqi National Security Advisor Qassem al-Araji met with the Spanish Ambassador in Baghdad, underscoring Iraq’s pivotal role in enhancing regional stability.
Al-Araji stated that Iraq will continue to work with its partners and allies to restore calm and stability to the region through a political approach and balanced relations with various parties. He noted the ongoing fight against ISIS and stressed the urgent need for global unity in confronting terrorist groups, adding that Iraq has successfully repatriated all its citizens from the al-Hol camp.
Al-Araji also highlighted the successful efforts in rehabilitating and reintegrating returning families into Iraqi society, attributing this achievement to close cooperation with the United Nations and international humanitarian organizations.
The National Security Advisor emphasized Iraq’s commitment to creating a secure environment for development and investment, which requires addressing regional challenges and consolidating the foundations of stability and peace.
The Spanish Ambassador affirmed his country’s desire to expand bilateral relations with Iraq, noting that cooperation with the Iraqi side has facilitated the transfer of Spanish citizens from the al-Hol camp. He lauded Iraq’s central role in promoting stability and restoring calm, stating that dialogue and diplomacy are the best path to restoring peace in the region.
