Lapid Accuses Netanyahu of Deception Over October 7 Attack

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, opposition leader Yair Lapid has accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of deceit in his handling of the October 7 attack aftermath.

Lapid stated that Netanyahu is attempting to conceal the truth and blame his subordinates by manipulating classified documents, engaging in deliberate deception, and presenting false narratives.

He emphasized that the ultimate responsibility for Israel’s security rests with the prime minister, as he wields the most power.

Lapid also accused Netanyahu of obstructing the formation of a formal commission of inquiry into the October 7 attack. He said this obstruction prevents a thorough and transparent investigation to prevent future failures and address shortcomings in the political and security structure.

Lapid added that Netanyahu’s actions are detrimental to Israel’s security.
