The Command stated that intelligence reports had confirmed the vessel’s involvement in the drug trade. The operation resulted in two fatalities and one survivor.

Reports indicate that the U.S. military has destroyed numerous vessels off the coasts of Latin America in recent months, claiming to combat drug trafficking. These operations have reportedly led to over a hundred deaths.

Human rights groups have condemned these U.S. actions as extrajudicial executions and war crimes.
