Hamas Condemns Israeli Law Permitting Execution of Palestinian Prisoners

Hamas has strongly condemned Israel’s new law permitting the execution of Palestinian prisoners, stating it reveals the ‘true face’ of the Zionist regime. The organization called for international intervention to protect Palestinian prisoners.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hamas has issued a strong statement condemning Israel’s enactment of a law allowing the execution of Palestinian prisoners. The Islamic Resistance Movement emphasized that this move exposes the true nature of the Tel Aviv regime, which it says is based on bloodshed, organized crime, and collective punishment, and represents a clear challenge to international and humanitarian laws.

Hamas described the measures as an unprecedented escalation, furthering a policy of gradual killing against Palestinian prisoners. They accused Israel of employing sadistic practices, systematic torture in prisons, and subjecting prisoners daily to abuse, medical neglect, and deliberate starvation, which Hamas views as a continuation of genocide against the Palestinian people.

Hamas has urged the United Nations, all international legal and humanitarian bodies, and free people around the world to take immediate and active steps to protect Palestinian prisoners and halt what it described as a dangerous crime initiated by the occupiers.

The statement further asserts that the Palestinian people will not remain silent in the face of crimes against prisoners and that the issue of prisoners will remain a top priority until their full liberation. It also vowed to prosecute all those complicit in prison crimes.

Channel 13 of the Zionist regime reported that the law permitting the execution of Palestinian prisoners has passed its initial stage in the Knesset. It applies to prisoners whom Tel Aviv accuses of carrying out or planning attacks.

A special unit is planned to implement the executions, establish procedures, and provide training to enforcement personnel. Membership in the execution team is voluntary, and guards will receive specialized training. According to informed sources, executions will occur within 90 days of the final verdict.

Initially, the executions will target key Hamas members involved in the October 7, 2023, attacks, followed by prisoners whom the Zionist regime deems “dangerous.”

The proposed law allows for the execution of any Palestinian who kills an Israeli citizen, but it does not extend to Israelis who kill Palestinians.
