Egyptian Foreign Minister Stresses De-escalation in Middle East

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Atti emphasized Cairo’s ongoing efforts to reduce regional tensions during a meeting with his Cypriot counterpart. He highlighted Egypt’s intensive diplomatic engagement to achieve a consensus-based resolution to Iran’s nuclear program, addressing the concerns of all parties.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Atti underscored the importance of de-escalation in the region during discussions with the Foreign Minister of Cyprus. Abdel-Atti noted Egypt’s continued endeavors to mitigate tensions amidst growing regional challenges.

He pointed to Egypt’s intensive contacts and sustained efforts aimed at achieving a negotiated settlement of the Iranian nuclear issue. This resolution would take into account the concerns of all involved parties, with the goal of preventing new waves of instability in the region.

Abdel-Atti also stressed the significance of increased regional and international efforts to ease tensions and promote political solutions for existing crises. He affirmed that such measures are crucial for strengthening peace prospects.
