Macron Advocates for Independent European Financial Mechanism to Counter Dollar Dominance

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, French President Emmanuel Macron has advocated for the creation of an independent European financial mechanism for joint lending, emphasizing the urgent need to confront the dominance of the U.S. dollar. Macron, in an interview with the Financial Times, highlighted what he described as the hostile approach of the current U.S. administration towards Europe.
“We are dealing with a government in the United States that is openly hostile to Europe, that disdains the European Union and wishes for its disintegration,” Macron stated. He further clarified that tensions with the United States are ongoing and extend to various sectors including Greenland, technology, and trade, asserting that these challenges are far from over.
