France Strongly Condemns Israeli Decisions Expanding Control Over West Bank

The French government issued a strong statement condemning the Israeli security cabinet’s recent decisions aimed at extending Israeli control over the West Bank, labeling the actions as a clear violation of international law. Paris urged an immediate reversal of these measures, asserting they severely undermine the two-state solution framework.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the French government issued a formal statement on Monday vehemently denouncing the recent decisions made by the Israeli security cabinet concerning the expansion of the regime’s control across the West Bank.

The French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs explicitly stated its condemnation in the released communiqué. “We strongly condemn the decisions aimed at extending the Israeli regime’s control over the West Bank,” the statement read. Furthermore, Paris asserted that these actions constitute a clear violation of international law and severely weaken the foundational Oslo Accords.

The ministry emphasized the necessity for immediate reversal, stressing, “Israel must immediately cancel its decisions, which represent a serious attack on the two-state solution.”

The Israeli security cabinet approved a series of new measures relating to the West Bank on Monday, including the repeal of a historical Jordanian law and substantial expansion of settlement activities. Reports indicate that the Israeli cabinet formally revoked a Jordanian law that had previously prohibited the sale of land in the West Bank to Jewish individuals. This Jordanian legislation dates back to the period before Israel’s occupation of the territory in 1967.

In addition to overturning the previous regulation, the Israeli security cabinet also endorsed several decisions authorizing further development and expansion of settlements throughout the West Bank territory.
