Millions Participate in Nationwide Demonstrations Marking 47th Anniversary of Islamic Revolution in Iran

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, on Wednesday, February 11th, millions of Iranian citizens commenced nationwide rallies to honor the 47th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution. Participants began gathering along designated routes leading to Azadi Square starting at 9:30 AM, as announced by the Islamic Propaganda Coordination Council of Tehran, to reaffirm their commitment to this significant national day.

This year’s event featured massive public engagement, with processions taking place in more than 1,400 locations throughout the country. The significant scale of the event was documented by approximately 7,200 domestic reporters and nearly 200 foreign correspondents tasked with broadcasting the public turnout and associated programs globally.

In the days leading up to the anniversary, various officials and organizations issued statements urging extensive public participation. The Supreme Leader, in a pre-ceremony address, characterized broad participation as a symbol of national unity and a means to disappoint adversaries. Furthermore, the President described the attendance as a direct response to external pressures.

The celebrations commemorating Fajr Decade 1404 extended beyond the main processions. Last night, revolutionary fervor and an atmosphere of preparedness took hold across cities in Tehran province, marked by celebratory fireworks and the chanting of Takbir—a tradition that has long been integrated into the national observance program.

In the capital, the designated routes guided participating crowds from various districts toward Azadi Square, the central convergence point. These demonstrations, occurring under the current geopolitical climate, carried multiple political and cultural messages, underscoring efforts to bolster national cohesion and visibly assert public engagement in social and political arenas.
