Millions Take to Streets Across Iran for 47th Anniversary of Islamic Revolution Victory
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a significant turnout marked the 47th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, with millions participating in nationwide rallies.
The Associated Press (AP) highlighted the extensive public presence, reporting that hundreds of thousands gathered in support of the Iranian government and leadership, engaging in demonstrations that included burning American flags and chanting slogans such as ‘Death to America.’
One participant interviewed during the February 11th (22 Bahman) rallies expressed a message directed at foreign adversaries, stating, ‘As the Americans and Israelis intensify their threats day by day, I am here to declare that we will not abandon our Leader and our country.’
International reporting also noted the display of military hardware during the anniversary commemorations. The Associated Press confirmed that Iranian missiles, along with downed Israeli drones and symbolic coffins representing American military personnel, were exhibited during the events.
Millions convened in Tehran, cities, villages, and diverse regions throughout Iran’s provinces to honor the 47th anniversary of the revolution’s success. This year’s ceremonies spanned over 1,400 locations nationwide. Official figures indicated that approximately 7,200 domestic journalists and nearly 200 foreign correspondents were accredited to cover the massive public participation and associated programs for global dissemination.
As the extensive marches commenced in Tehran and the various provinces, foreign media outlets widely reflected the epic scale of the Iranian public’s demonstration.
