Hamas Accuses Israel of Obstruction at Rafah Crossing, Violating Truce Terms

Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem sharply criticized the Israeli regime for deliberately impeding passage through the Rafah crossing, stating that the occupation authorities are blatantly violating truce agreements and international law by severely limiting the number of authorized travelers.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem has strongly condemned the actions of the Zionist regime at the Rafah border crossing, asserting that the occupying forces are fundamentally failing to uphold their commitments.

Qassem stated that the Israeli regime is actively creating obstacles for travelers attempting to pass through Rafah. He highlighted that the number of individuals permitted to exit has been drastically reduced, amounting to only 27 percent of the agreed-upon quota.

The spokesman emphasized that this ongoing obstruction of civilian movement and the failure to adhere to agreed quotas constitute a clear breach of the terms of the ceasefire agreement and international regulations. Hamas views this behavior as a continuous and widespread violation of the truce.

Concluding his statement, Hazem Qassem issued a direct appeal to all mediating parties and guarantor nations of the agreement. He urged them to intervene immediately to compel the Israeli regime to fully implement all provisions pertaining to the Rafah crossing and to halt the persistent and extensive violations of the ceasefire deal.
