Israeli Forces Re-enter Southern Syria, Establish New Checkpoint Near Quneitra

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, local sources have reported a fresh incursion by Zionist occupation troops into southern Syrian territory this morning. The patrol, comprising approximately 60 military personnel and 15 armored vehicles, reportedly entered the village of Ofaniya in the northern Quneitra countryside and subsequently blocked the village entrances.
Furthermore, these forces established a significant military checkpoint along the critical communication route connecting Ofaniya village with the town of Jabata al-Khashab. This development follows similar aggressive maneuvers by the occupation forces just one day prior.
Yesterday, Zionist forces targeted an access route between the towns of Al-Maalqa and Ghadeer Al-Bustan, also in the Quneitra countryside, where they erected a new checkpoint. This pattern of activity also includes a raid conducted by the occupation forces toward the Al-Mantara Dam in the central Quneitra countryside more than a week ago.
These recurring military incursions by the Israeli regime’s army, aimed at violating the sovereignty and territory of Syria and threatening the safety of its citizens, have notably intensified since the collapse of Bashar al-Assad’s government on December 8, 2024. The overwhelming majority of these repeated violations have been concentrated within the Quneitra province and its surrounding areas in southern Syria.
