US Withdraws 300 Troops From Al-Tanf Base in Syria

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, an American official confirmed to Al Jazeera television network the evacuation of the Al-Tanf base situated at the intersection of the borders connecting Iraq, Jordan, and Syria. The official stated that nearly 300 American troops have departed the strategic location.
The official further elaborated that approximately one thousand U.S. military personnel remain stationed across various sectors in northeastern Syria. This individual alleged that if conditions permit, further troop withdrawals are anticipated in the near future, citing the effective role played by Syrian government forces in counter-terrorism operations against ISIS as a contributing factor to the potential reduction of the American military footprint.
Additionally, the American official claimed that aerial bombardment campaigns targeting ISIS elements from outside Syrian airspace will persist.
