Analysts Warn Netanyahu’s Joining Gaza Peace Council Poses Significant Dangers

Political observers have issued stern warnings regarding Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to join the Gaza Peace Council, describing the move as a perilous step with profound implications for the future of the Gaza Strip and the broader Palestinian issue.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, some political analysts have expressed deep concern over the signing of the document admitting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the Gaza Peace Council, characterizing the action as a dangerous step carrying widespread consequences for the future of the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian question.

These evaluations suggest that Netanyahu’s participation may be part of an effort to redefine the concepts of ‘peace’ and ‘security’ based on the shared approach adopted by the United States and the Zionist regime. Critics contend that this framework will ultimately supersede solutions grounded in the rights of the Palestinian people.

Palestinian expert on Zionist regime affairs, Hussein Al-Deek, commented on the development, stating, “This council is not a peace council; it is a Trump council, indicating that the future of Gaza will be entirely subordinate to the absolute dominance of America and Israel.” He further asserted that the objective behind establishing such a body is to engineer a new ground reality in Gaza and impose control over the region’s social environment, particularly while the rightful Palestinians are effectively excluded from the decision-making process.

Separately, Palestinian political analyst Fadi Abu Baker emphasized that Israel’s inclusion in this body effectively grants Tel Aviv an informal veto power over the future of Gaza, including the prospect of establishing a Palestinian state. Abu Baker pointed to the presence of figures connected to the Abraham Accords within the council, stressing that this signals an attempt to finalize the normalization project with Israel and recast the notion of peace to focus solely on “security stability” rather than securing the political rights of the Palestinian nation.

Observers believe these recent developments could be integral to a wider process aimed at determining the new political and security structure within Gaza post-conflict. This proposed structure has generated serious concerns regarding the future of Palestinian sovereignty and the fate of the two-state solution.
