Hezbollah Executive Council Chief Asserts Iran is Central to Contradiction with Zionist Regime
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Sheikh Ali Daamouch, the Head of the Executive Council of Hezbollah in Lebanon, stated that continued aggression by the Zionist entity and its lack of accountability underscore the necessity of the resistance movement as a guarantor of power and immunity for Lebanon.
Daamouch asserted that the equations established by the resistance have preserved the country, providing protection for Lebanon and deterrence against the Zionist entity for the past three decades. Following the recent aggressive war, a ceasefire agreement was reached with the government, contingent on state institutions assuming responsibility within a new national framework. However, he expressed regret that the government failed to meet the expectations of the Lebanese people and fulfill its duties effectively.
Addressing the commitment of the Lebanese populace, Sheikh Daamouch stressed that the people have sacrificed their best leaders and children. He affirmed that they will not abandon the achievements of the resistance or fail to protect the memory of those who were martyred. Furthermore, Daamouch legitimized the right of the resistance, declaring that the right to self-defense cannot be revoked by anyone.
In detailing the threats directed by the United States against Iran, the Hezbollah official attributed these tensions to Iran’s central position in the existential contradiction with the Zionist regime. He further noted that Iran faces pressure due to its significant oil, gas, and mineral wealth, alongside the strategic importance of its maritime passages, particularly the Strait of Hormuz.
Daamouch further argued that American arrogance perceives itself as the global center, viewing other nations with contempt and as vassals. He stressed that the US actively resists the existence of independent states with genuine sovereignty, preventing them from developing the capacity to govern themselves or emerge as rivals to American global dominance.
Concluding his remarks, Sheikh Daamouch referenced the massive public rallies across Iran on the 22nd of Bahman, which demonstrated adherence to the leadership. He insisted that the Islamic Republic of Iran neither intends to collapse nor surrender. He projected that the West will be unsuccessful in overthrowing the Iranian system or imposing its will and conditions upon the nation. Daamouch recalled that since the Islamic Revolution, Iran has consistently confronted American and Israeli arrogance, facing severe challenges, blockades, and sanctions, yet it has always proceeded on its path with stronger resolve and greater advancements than before.
