Zelensky Demands Timeline for EU Accession, Cites Need for US Security Guarantees

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on Saturday that despite Washington’s position regarding Kyiv, Ukraine requires American participation in providing security guarantees.
Zelensky further elaborated that the United States must make Ukraine stronger than Russia, expressing a desire to extract concessions from Moscow. He proposed that Ukraine would be prepared to hold elections contingent upon a two-month ceasefire agreement.
The Ukrainian head of state suggested that US President Donald Trump possesses the leverage necessary to pressure Russian President Vladimir Putin into accepting a ceasefire arrangement.
This appeal comes as US President Donald Trump previously indicated that Russia is interested in resolving the conflict in Ukraine and urged Zelensky to pursue peace, warning that failure to do so would result in missing a significant opportunity.
