China Warns Japan: Supporting Taiwan Separatists Equals National Ruin

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi sharply criticized recent statements made by Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi regarding the potential provision of assistance to Taiwan should China pose a threat. Wang Yi cautioned Tokyo against the potential repercussions of such a stance.
The Chinese official asserted that the incorrect pronouncements emanating from Japanese leadership directly challenge the Taiwan issue, thereby undermining China’s national sovereignty and the established international order following the Second World War. Wang Yi underscored the historical significance of the moment, noting that this marks the first time in eighty years that a serving Japanese Prime Minister has voiced such remarks.
Highlighting the escalating regional tensions, the Foreign Minister observed that, contrary to some perceptions, Asia currently maintains an overall climate of peace. He referenced the historical record of conflicts between Beijing and Tokyo, delivering a direct ultimatum. “If Japan resumes its previous trajectory, it will engineer its own destruction,” Wang Yi stated. “If it gambles again, it will only hasten its defeat and suffer far more severe losses.”
