Israel Accuses Hamas of Using Emojis for Al-Aqsa Storm Operation Coordination

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on data published by the Mehr News Agency, the Israeli army has disclosed that Hamas forces employed emojis as a code to synchronize their military activities before launching the Al-Aqsa Storm operation. This revelation comes over two years after the operation began on February 14, 2023.
A report published by the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper indicates that these emojis were transmitted via messaging applications. The purpose was to identify assembly points and locations for receiving Israeli SIM cards, thereby laying the groundwork for the operation’s commencement.
On October 6, 2023, one day prior to the attack, the activation of dozens of SIM cards was observed in the Gaza Strip, some of which were identified as Israeli. These movements were monitored by the Shin Bet security service.
The Israeli regime concluded that these activities were part of a routine occurrence in Gaza, happening once every few weeks.
