Former US Intelligence Officer Warns American Aircraft Carriers Are ‘Floating Coffins’ Against Iran

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Scott Ritter, a military analyst and former US Marine Corps intelligence officer, acknowledged that the American aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln is like a “sitting duck” against Iran’s military power, capable of being sent to the depths of the sea.

Ritter pointed to the end of American naval supremacy, stating that the giant aircraft carriers, once a source of pride for the country, are now nothing more than floating coffins against Iran’s modern missile technology. He predicted that the US Navy would face a humiliating and fatal defeat before it could even travel a distance to launch an attack. The former intelligence officer noted that American ships would be lost before reaching the coast, and Iran is capable of destroying the Lincoln. He attributed this capability to Iran’s high density of missile umbrellas and its drone squadron tactics, which can confuse the advanced Aegis defense system.

Ritter also highlighted the military power of Iran, Russia, China, and North Korea, stating that Iran is powerful due to its confusing tactics and drones, Russia due to its Tsirkon hypersonic missiles, China due to its DF-21D anti-ship missiles, and North Korea due to its advanced underwater and ballistic technologies.
