According to the Economic Desk of Webangah News Agency, a commercial delegation comprising Iranian knowledge-based companies is being organized to attend the KoreaPharm 2026 exhibition. This effort is receiving backing from the International Scientific and Technological Cooperation Development Organization.
The primary objectives for sending the delegation are centered on expanding the export potential of knowledge-based products, deepening technological collaborations, and facilitating the entry of Iranian companies into the global value chain of the pharmaceutical and health industries.
KoreaPharm is recognized internationally as a premier specialized event covering pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and health sectors. The 2026 event is scheduled to take place from March 31 to April 3, 2026 (corresponding to Farvardin 11 to 14, 1405 in the Solar Hijri calendar) at the KINTEX International Exhibition Center in South Korea. The exhibition promises a comprehensive platform for showcasing cutting-edge technologies, advanced equipment, industrial innovations, and emerging global health market trends, attracting hundreds of international firms active across the pharma and biopharma value chain.
Key focus areas for the exhibition include advanced pharmaceutical and biopharma technology development, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and sustainable drug supply chain management, manufacturing equipment compliant with GMP lines, pharmaceutical packaging, health logistics and cold chain management, research and development, digital health solutions, and opportunities for joint investment and technological partnerships within the pharmaceutical ecosystem.
The commercial mission is structured as a six-day program, encompassing essential services for participants. These services include round-trip airfare, assistance with obtaining business visas, accommodation, travel insurance, exhibition entry passes, the presence of specialized tour leaders and translators, and the arrangement of specialized technical meetings and B2B sessions with international companies.
Participation in this program is open to all interested parties. However, direct financial support provided by the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy is exclusively reserved for knowledge-based and creative companies situated in science and technology parks that demonstrate export maturity. The selection of eligible companies will be finalized by the International Scientific and Technological Cooperation Development Organization after all required documentation is submitted. The subsidy limit is set at one person per company, with the final cost for supported knowledge-based firms announced as 1,400 US dollars.
Citing the Scientific Vice Presidency, the deadline for registration to join this commercial delegation has been set for February 26, 2026 (Esfand 7, 1404).
