Israel Hinders Gaza Patients’ Exit Via Rafah Crossing Amid Ongoing Obstructions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip has reported that the Israeli regime is actively obstructing the transit of Palestinians through the Rafah crossing. Despite the crossing’s operational status, the regime’s actions are significantly hindering the departure of individuals requiring medical treatment outside the besieged territory. Data indicates that out of 2,800 Palestinians in need of medical care beyond Gaza, only 811 have managed to cross through the Rafah passage since the beginning of February.
The Palestinian authority emphasized that the Israeli regime is failing to uphold its commitments, which included facilitating the daily departure of 50 Palestinians into Egypt. Currently, a staggering 22,000 patients and injured individuals within the Gaza Strip are in urgent need of medical attention that cannot be provided locally.
Furthermore, published reports reveal that approximately 80,000 Palestinians are seeking to return to the Gaza Strip. This figure underscores a strong resident desire to remain in the territory, despite the dire conditions and ongoing challenges.
