Russia Intercepts 43 Ukrainian Drones in Overnight Airspace Incursions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed 43 Ukrainian drones over various regions of Russia, including Bryansk, Crimea, and the Black Sea, throughout the past night. The Russian Ministry of Defense released this information based on data published by Mehr News Agency.
This development takes place as the third round of peace talks concerning Ukraine, involving representatives from Russia, Ukraine, and the United States, convened in Geneva, Switzerland. Despite multiple rounds of discussions, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine persists, with territorial disputes remaining the primary impediment to reaching a resolution.
Both Russia and Ukraine are actively striving to gain the upper hand, both on the battlefield and at the negotiating table, by maintaining and expanding their controlled territories. Earlier, Matthew Whitaker, the U.S. Permanent Representative to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), had expressed optimism that the issue of territorial disputes would be resolved in the coming days and weeks. He also noted that participants in the process of resolving the Ukraine crisis are currently working on four final documents, which include a 20-point peace plan, a set of multilateral security guarantees, specific security assurances from the United States, and a plan for economic growth and prosperity post-peace.
