UN Warns of Ethnic Cleansing in Gaza and West Bank Amid Intensified Israeli Violence
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the United Nations Office of Human Rights has expressed deep concern regarding the escalating violence by the Israeli regime against the Palestinian people and their forced displacement, warning of ethnic cleansing in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
A report released by the international body stated that the deadly attacks by Israel in Gaza have fueled fears that civilians are being deliberately targeted. This organized destruction of neighborhoods and the obstruction of humanitarian aid to Gaza are aimed at altering the demographic composition of the region.
The human rights institution also cautioned that arbitrary arrests, torture, and the destruction of homes in the West Bank are being carried out with the objective of compelling the Palestinian population to surrender.
The United Nations Office of Human Rights emphasized that the pursuit of justice for Palestinian victims must form the foundation for the reconstruction of Gaza.
