Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Criticizes UK Justice System Amid Prince Andrew Arrest

Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Maria Zakharova, has stated that the United Kingdom’s judicial system should have addressed its internal issues much earlier, following reports of Prince Andrew’s arrest in connection with the Jeffrey Epstein case.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, commented on news regarding the arrest of the brother of the UK’s monarch due to his association with Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender in the United States. Zakharova asserted that the UK’s law enforcement system should have resolved the country’s problems long ago.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the brother of King Charles III, has been detained on suspicion of misconduct. The former prince, who had previously been stripped of his royal title due to his connection with Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender in the United States, is now known as “Prince Andrew” and has been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

Thames Valley Police, in a press release, did not name Mountbatten-Windsor but stated they were assessing reports concerning the former prince sending business reports to Jeffrey Epstein, a sex offender convicted in 2010. The police announced that following a full assessment, an investigation into his misconduct in public office has commenced, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding the integrity and impartiality of investigations while cooperating with partners.
