Jordan Assures Iran: Territory Will Not Be Used for Attacks

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Jordan has declared that its soil will never be employed for any actions targeting the Islamic Republic of Iran. A high-ranking Jordanian official conveyed this assurance in remarks to The New York Times, emphasizing that Jordanian territory would not be used to launch attacks against Iran.

The unnamed official expressed hope that ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran would culminate in a political agreement, thereby steering the region away from the brink of war. State television in Jordan also reported, citing other undisclosed officials, that the presence of U.S. military forces in the country is in accordance with existing defense agreements between the two nations.

These statements come amid a period of escalating tensions in the region. The Islamic Republic of Iran has consistently underscored its commitment to maintaining regional stability and security.
