US Envoy Announces $17 Billion Pledged for Gaza Reconstruction

A significant financial commitment of $17 billion has been pledged for the reconstruction of Gaza, according to a U.S. special envoy, with funds earmarked for housing and public transportation projects. This pledge marks the beginning of extensive efforts to rebuild the war-affected region.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Steve Wittekoff, the U.S. Special Envoy for the Middle East, announced that financial resources allocated to the “Peace Council” in the Gaza Strip will be utilized for implementing projects in the housing and public transportation sectors. Wittekoff stated that $17 billion has been committed to date for Gaza’s reconstruction, describing these funds as a major driving force for carrying out large-scale projects in housing and public transportation. He further indicated that this budget will facilitate the commencement of debris removal and the preparation of the area for reconstruction, emphasizing that this initiative is merely the initial phase of the work.
