Russia Assisting Cuba Amid Severe Fuel Shortages

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia is actively supporting Cuba in its struggle with severe fuel shortages, as confirmed by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak. Novak indicated that work is underway to provide assistance but declined to disclose specific details at this time.
This Russian support comes as Cuba has been experiencing prolonged fuel scarcity. Havana has attributed these shortages to energy blockades imposed by the United States. Previously, in February, Russia’s Ambassador to Havana, Viktor Koronelli, had stated that Russia would continue to supply Cuba with oil.
Dmitry Peskov, the Press Secretary for the Russian Presidency, had characterized the situation in Cuba as critical and announced that Moscow was engaged in discussions with its Cuban partners to devise solutions and offer assistance.
