Russia Predicts New US Tariffs Will Hit UK, Europe Hardest

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Kirill Dmitriev, the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, has asserted that the latest 15% U.S. tariffs will inflict the most significant damage on the European Union and the United Kingdom.

Dmitriev commented via the social media platform X, predicting that these tariffs would primarily benefit nations such as China and Brazil, countries that have previously faced strong criticism from President Donald Trump.

He emphasized that long-standing U.S. allies, including the United Kingdom, the European Union, and Japan, would bear the brunt of the impact from these new trade measures.

These statements emerge following a U.S. Supreme Court ruling on Friday that declared certain trade tariffs imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump on goods imported from other nations to be unlawful. In response to this decision, Trump subsequently raised the tariff on imports from all countries entering the United States from 10% to 15%.
