Taliban Spokesperson Denies Foreign Terrorist Presence in Afghanistan Amid Russian Claims

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for Afghanistan‘s caretaker administration, stated in an interview with TOLOnews that Afghanistan is a secure country and does not host any international terrorist groups. Mujahid asserted that Afghanistan’s territory is under unified governance, preventing foreign groups from operating within its borders. He urged Russia to acknowledge the realities on the ground and update its reports accordingly. The Taliban official reiterated Kabul’s commitment to preventing the use of Afghan soil against any nation. This statement follows a prior announcement by Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which alleged the presence of over 20,000 armed militants affiliated with international terrorist organizations in Afghanistan, claiming roughly half of these combatants were non-Afghan nationals.
