Iraqi Resistance: US Failure to Withdraw Guarantees Right to End Occupation

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iraq‘s Coordination Operations Room for Resistance Groups has announced that the United States has not adhered to its obligations towards Iraq. These groups emphasized that if Washington continues to impose its will and maintain its forces on Iraqi territory, they reserve the legitimate right to end the occupation.
The statement indicated that the relationship between Baghdad and Washington is not based on the principle of equality between independent nations. The Iraqi resistance stated that the United States violates Iraq’s airspace using drones and fighter jets, a move considered a serious threat to the security, stability, territorial integrity, sovereignty, and dignity of the Iraqi government.
The Coordination Operations Room for Iraqi Resistance Forces stressed that Washington has not fulfilled any of its commitments under the agreement with the Iraqi government for the withdrawal of all foreign forces. No concrete action has been observed to realize the remaining obligations regarding the withdrawal of American forces from Iraq’s land and skies. The statement further added that if the United States insists on its presence and imposes its will upon the country, this will compel the Iraqi resistance to assume its legal and moral responsibilities to adopt stances befitting the dignity of the people and their legitimate right to end the occupation.
