US Vice President Expresses Optimism on Progress in Ukraine Conflict Resolution Talks

U.S. Vice President JD Vance stated on Wednesday that Washington is making progress in its diplomatic efforts to achieve a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine, expressing optimism that both Russia and Kyiv will reach a point where they deem enough has been achieved to halt the fighting.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. Vice President JD Vance announced in an interview with Fox News on Wednesday that America is making progress in negotiations with Russia and Kyiv aimed at a peaceful settlement of the Ukraine crisis. U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed optimism about the prospect of ending these conflicts.

The U.S. President elaborated on this matter, stating, “I think we are making progress with both the Russians and the Ukrainians, and we will continue our efforts in this direction.”

JD Vance further commented, “We have no illusions that these individuals (Putin and Zelensky, Presidents of Russia and Ukraine) are going to meet in the middle of a field and embrace each other. That’s why we are trying to employ the diplomacy that we are involved in. We are optimistic that we can reach a point where both the Russians and the Ukrainians feel they have achieved enough of what is necessary to stop the bloodshed.”
