Afghanistan Strikes Pakistani Border Positions in Retaliation for Airstrikes
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, an Afghan military official announced in an interview with Al Jazeera television network that in response to the Pakistani army’s airstrikes on Paktika and Nangarhar provinces, Pakistani positions in three provinces have been targeted. The Al Mayadeen television network, citing an Afghan military official, also reported retaliatory attacks on Pakistani border positions. Reuters news agency reported that the spokesman for the Afghan government announced the start of a large-scale operation along the border with Pakistan.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) published images of Afghanistan‘s attacks on Pakistani border positions and, quoting a Taliban military official, announced that the Islamic Emirate’s forces have launched retaliatory attacks against Pakistani soldiers in the country’s eastern provinces.
