Palestinian Resistance at Al-Aqsa Mosque Against Intensified Zionist Restrictions

Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, Head of the Supreme Islamic Council and preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque, has criticized the Zionist regime’s escalating restrictive policies and actions against the holy site, noting that these measures are beyond pre-Ramadan levels and aimed at reducing Muslim worshippers.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, Head of the Supreme Islamic Council and preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque, has criticized the intensified restrictive policies and actions by the Zionist regime against the holy mosque. He stated that these restrictions are more severe than those prior to the month of Ramadan and are implemented with the aim of reducing the number of Muslim worshippers.

Despite the occupation forces’ efforts to prevent Muslim presence, hundreds of thousands of worshippers made their way to Al-Aqsa Mosque to perform their prayers. This public attendance was met with a reaction from the occupation forces, who issued entry ban orders for dozens of young residents of Jerusalem to this sacred site. Residents of Jerusalem endure significant hardship to reach Al-Aqsa Mosque, and citizens of the West Bank are also prevented by the occupation forces from reaching Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem.

The occupying regime, by creating numerous obstacles and checkpoints in and around the city of Jerusalem, is attempting to decrease the number of people present at this holy place. These barriers are even closed during Friday prayers, depriving people of their right to pray. The preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque emphasized that these restrictions conflict with the principle of freedom of expression and international laws, and will lead to increased tension and conflict.
