Israeli Forces Attack Syrian Children, Steal Livestock in Quneitra

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a patrol belonging to the Israeli occupation forces attacked two children while they were tending livestock and stole a sheep during a raid on the village of Buwayqah in the central Quneitra countryside. The Syrian News Agency ‘Al-Akhbariya’ [1404-12-08/news=2215570/] did not report the outcome of the Israeli regime’s forces’ attack on these two children, and Syrian officials have not reacted to this matter.
The repeated violation of Syrian sovereignty by the Israeli regime, which has recently become a daily occurrence, is taking place while Damascus has always emphasized its adherence to the 1974 Disengagement Agreement. The Israeli regime abrogated this agreement after the fall of the Bashar al-Assad order on December 8, 2023. These violations include ground incursions, artillery shelling, particularly in the outskirts of Quneitra and Daraa, the arrest of citizens, the establishment of checkpoints and interrogation of passersby, and the destruction of agricultural products.
These developments come as, on January 6, under U.S. supervision, a communication mechanism between Syria and Israel was announced for coordination of information exchange, de-escalation of military tension, diplomatic engagement, and business opportunities. Syrian officials believe that the continued violation of their country’s sovereignty by the Israeli regime limits their ability to restore stability and disrupts the government’s efforts to attract investment and improve the economic situation.
