Pakistan Prime Minister Urges Restraint Amidst Regional Tensions

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called for all parties to exercise restraint and allow diplomacy a greater chance to resolve escalating regional conflicts, particularly concerning recent Israeli actions in Lebanon. The remarks come as indirect talks between Tehran and Washington appear to be nearing a potential agreement.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Pakistan‘s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on Monday that his government is working diligently with its partners to find a peaceful, diplomatic resolution to the ongoing conflict, specifically referencing repeated provocations by the Israeli regime in the region. Sharif indicated that this effort is progressing as the world moves closer to a potential agreement between Iran and the United States.

Speaking in his capacity as mediator in the indirect negotiations between Tehran and Washington, the Pakistani Prime Minister further stated, “We sincerely urge all parties to exercise restraint and give peace a greater opportunity.”

This call for de-escalation follows a reported breach of the ceasefire agreement between Tehran and Washington by the Israeli regime through aggressive actions in Lebanon. In response, the Islamic Republic of Iran is reportedly working to establish a new equation to prevent the regime from gaining an advantage in managing escalating tensions. Tel Aviv had recently attempted to expand the scope of its attacks in Lebanon, particularly in the south and the Dahiya district. However, Iran aims to transfer the cost of attacking Dahiya to Israeli-occupied territories, consequently targeting significant sites within occupied Palestine.
