Tucker Carlson: Israel, Not Congress, is Iran Deal’s Biggest Obstacle

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, prominent American commentator and host Tucker Carlson has stated that the Israeli regime is the main obstacle to any potential agreement between Iran and the United States, rather than the U.S. Congress. Carlson suggested that U.S. President Donald Trump is aware that Israel, not Congress, is the true barrier to achieving a deal with Iran.
Carlson elaborated, “As Israel has obstructed on numerous occasions in the past, it will attempt to disrupt the agreement process and prevent its finalization.”
These remarks emerge as the first specialized and technical session between Iran and the United States, with Pakistan mediating, is scheduled to take place in Switzerland. The session is considered crucial for the ongoing diplomatic efforts.
On Thursday, Carlson drew a parallel between the recent understanding between Iran and the United States and the Suez Crisis of 1956. He commented, “On Friday, the United States officially acknowledged that Iran is a decisive player, and this changes everything.”
Highlighting the recent agreement between Iran and the U.S., Carlson further stated, “However, with this agreement, the United States has demonstrated that despite possessing the best, largest, and most expensive military in the world, it lacks the necessary military capability to impose its will on the world’s thirty-fourth-largest economy.”
The American commentator conveyed a clear message: just as the Suez Crisis signaled the twilight of the British Empire, this recent accord, he argued, showcases the decline of the American empire.
