Russia: EU and UK Should Recognize Their Place as US Followers

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Kirill Dmitriev, the special representative of the President of Russia, emphasized that it would be better for the European Union and the United Kingdom to be aware of their standing as followers of the United States.

He added that the EU and the UK have adopted an erroneous strategy by attempting to present themselves as middle powers, a development that has caused concern in the United States. Those who follow the U.S. should know their limits.

Dmitriev’s remarks came in response to the stance of a U.S. Department of Defense official, who had stated that such a strategy would ultimately result in a waste of time and money.

It is worth noting that the term ‘middle powers’ is used to describe countries that play an economic and political role at regional and international levels without possessing global hegemony.
