Pakistan Defense Minister Signals Closer US-Iran Peace Accord

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif stated in an interview with Bloomberg that the United States and Iran are approaching a form of sustainable agreement and peace.

Asif observed that indicators over the past few days suggest progress toward a peace accord. This development coincides with the arrival of Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi in Tehran for discussions with Iranian officials amid ongoing mediation efforts to de-escalate tensions between Iran and the United States.

A diplomatic source confirmed that Naqvi departed Islamabad for the Iranian capital early Tuesday to engage in talks concerning bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest. This visit follows a trip by Iran’s Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni to Islamabad just one month prior, where he met with his Pakistani counterpart.

Pakistan, along with Qatar, played a significant mediating role in facilitating a memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States in June, aimed at resolving recent conflicts between the two nations.
