During the conversation, the UK Foreign Secretary affirmed Riyadh’s right to take necessary measures to defend its security and assets in accordance with international law. Both sides also emphasized the importance of intensifying joint efforts to guarantee the security and freedom of navigation in waterways, contributing to regional stability. They further discussed protecting global trade and supply chains from the repercussions of the current crisis.
