Yemen’s Mahdi al-Mashat Denounces Saudi ‘Lies’ Amidst Sacred Site Allegations
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Mahdi al-Mashat, head of Yemen‘s Supreme Political Council, stated that the baseless claims by the Saudi regime alleging Yemen’s targeting of Mecca are a desperate effort to mobilize public opinion. He added that public awareness has reached a level where people understand the true nature of the Saudi regime, a regime that has squandered the wealth of the Islamic nation while disrespecting the Kaaba, the Holy Quran, and the Two Holy Mosques.
The head of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council further commented that the Yemeni people possess the highest degrees of faith and devotion to Islamic sanctities. He affirmed that just as they fought in defense of Al-Aqsa Mosque, the third holiest mosque, they are prepared to sacrifice their lives for the Sacred House of God. The Yemeni people have consistently distinguished themselves and led in public gatherings expressing anger in response to any insult to Islamic sanctities, whether the Holy Quran, the Great Prophet, noble Mecca, or noble Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Mahdi al-Mashat elaborated that the Saudi regime should have rallied the nations of the Islamic Ummah when the criminal Trump insulted the Kaaba and presented an image unbecoming of its sanctity and status. He pointed out that the same individual who gifted the covering of the honorable Kaaba to the criminal Epstein is now allegedly targeting Mecca and Islamic holy sites. The lies of the Saudi regime will no longer deceive the nations of our Arab and Islamic Ummah, just as its previous claims about threatening international shipping failed to deceive them.
Previously, the Political Bureau of Yemen’s Ansar Allah stated in a release that the repetition of Saudi slanders indicates the regime’s inability to persuade public opinion regarding the continuation of the aggression and siege against Yemen. The bureau expressed that noble Mecca and other Islamic sanctities hold a high and great status among all Muslim nations, especially the Yemeni people. It asserted that the Al Saud regime cannot claim precedence over the Yemeni people in honoring Mecca and commemorating Islamic sanctities.
The statement emphasized that the sanctity of Mecca is violated by those who exploit its sacred status in their aggressive wars, desecrating it by welcoming Zionist Jews and holding celebrations of frivolity, amusement, and moral corruption.
