Yemen Denounces Saudi Attacks on Sana’a, Calls for International Action

Yemen’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Public Health in Sana’a have issued strong condemnations of recent Saudi airstrikes targeting the capital, citing violations of sovereignty and humanitarian law, and urging the international community to intervene.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sana’a has declared that the persistent violations of Yemen‘s sovereignty and airspace by the Saudi regime, coupled with the targeting of the capital, necessitate a reciprocal response from the armed forces. The Ministry emphasized that the continued bombardment of the capital and other provinces makes it imperative to adopt all legitimate measures to prevent such actions. Ongoing atrocities against Yemen affirm the necessity of continuing the struggle for freedom, independence, the lifting of the blockade, and the restoration of national resources.

Concurrently, Yemen’s Ministry of Public Health in Sana’a reported that Saudi warplanes conducted airstrikes near the Al-Sabaeen Maternity and Childhood Hospital on the afternoon of [Date], causing significant damage. The Ministry characterized the targeting of hospitals and medical facilities as a blatant violation of international and humanitarian laws. The statement further indicated that the “enemy’s” airstrikes resulted in injuries and panic among patients and visitors. The Ministry implored the global community to fulfill its legal and ethical responsibilities by taking serious action to halt these attacks. These developments follow within hours of Saudi warplanes carrying out 10 strikes on Sana’a, the capital of Yemen.
