Egyptian MP Condemns Israeli Minister’s ‘Outrageous’ Claims on Sinai

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on reports from the Mehr News Agency quoting Yaffa, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich’s statements about returning the Sinai Peninsula to his regime have drawn a fierce response from Mustafa Bakri, a Member of Parliament in Egypt.
Bakri took to social media platform X to describe Smotrich as “utterly shameless” and vehemently criticized the repeated nature of his comments concerning Sinai.
The Egyptian lawmaker emphasized that the Israeli minister’s remarks demonstrated his “unparalleled foolishness.” He further addressed Smotrich, stating, “I hope you remember the lesson of October 1973, and as President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt has said, one who does something once can do it again.”
Smotrich had previously expressed doubts about El-Sisi’s emphasis on not having regional ambitions or engaging with the Israeli regime, and had once again called for the occupation of the Sinai Peninsula.
